Senior Director, Technical Strategy & Innovation
John Bronson is Project HOPE’s Senior Director, Technical Strategy & Innovation. This role provides leadership, strategic direction, and technical guidance throughout the institution, especially on emerging innovations as they benefit global health programs. He also contributes to the overall operations of Project HOPE's Global Health division.
John previously provided senior-level technical expertise to Project HOPE on economic strengthening - combining financial strategies and economic development with public health to alleviate the effects of poverty and improve well-being of vulnerable populations. He has led strategic planning, program design, and successful fundraising to open major new programs across Latin America, Africa, and Asia that benefit women and girls, orphans and vulnerable children, and HIV affected populations.
John joined Project HOPE in January 1996. He served as Regional Director (Interim) for the Americas, responsible for all program activities, staff, and relationships across the countries of the Americas region from 2013-2014. Prior to joining Project HOPE, John worked in commercial banking and has considerable experience in micro-enterprise development projects in Africa. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Puget Sound and an M.A. in International Development from Clark University.
