Regional Director for Southeast Asia
Laxmikant Palo, Ph.D. is Project HOPE's Regional Director for Southeast Asia, responsible for all public health programs operating in the region. Laxmikant has more than 24 years of experience as a program leader, manager and technical advisor of public health programs such as Maternal, Newborn, Child Health and Nutrition (MNCHN) and cross cutting themes like food security; WASH and gender across a diverse range of international organizations. He has worked for organizations such as Save the Children, USAID, IntraHealth International, PATH, FHI360, and DFID.
Laxmikant has extensive experience in program planning and management; policy review and evidence based advocacy; partnership management; public health technical assistance to government and project implementing partners; system strengthening; implementation research and monitoring and evaluation. On the academics front, Laxmikant has a Ph.D. Public Health and Nutrition. His geographic expertise ranges from India and other parts of Southeast Asia to Africa and the United States.
