Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) is a global BioPharma company whose mission is to discover, develop and deliver innovative medicines to patients with serious disorders including cancer, cardiovascular disease, hepatitis B and C, HIV/AIDS and rheumatoid arthritis.
Project HOPE and BMS share a long history of collaboration, which began in 1960 and has included both cash grants and product donations supporting our global health programs and disaster response efforts around the world. Recently, when a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal, BMS was one of the first companies to donate life-saving products and cash to support HOPE’s response.
Over the past decade, the BMS Foundation has made grants to Project HOPE to support a pilot HeathWorks program, which targets the health of factory workers, as well as a diabetes initiative in Mexico. The foundation has also supported HOPE’s training program to improve the lives of children living with cancer and their families in Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania, and was a generous supporter of Project HOPE’s work at the Shanghai Children’s Medical Center in China.
Through its donations of cash and critically needed medicines, Bristol-Myers Squibb has become one Project HOPE’s most valued, longstanding partners. We are grateful for this support, which allows us to help those in need.
