When Ebola ravaged West Africa in 2014 and a devastating earthquake hit Nepal in 2015, U.S.- based company, NormaLyte, saw an opportunity to make a difference. NormaLyte was created with the goal of producing a great-tasting solution to dehydration. But as the creators continued with its development, they discovered that the ease of portability of their powder product provided an opportunity to do good in parts of the world where dehydration kills countless individuals with no access to IVs. This vision, coupled with Project HOPE’s proven track record of effectively responding to disaster, has led to an unstoppable partnership between HOPE and NormaLyte.
Recently, NormaLyte decided to expand their support of Project HOPE by forming a team for the Kentucky Derby Festival Marathon/miniMarathon in April. The team will participate as part of Project HOPE’s iHOPE Team, a community of athletes whose passion for a challenge is matched by a passion for Project HOPE’s mission. NormaLyte founder, Sam Lee, has personally committed to recruiting 30 runners with a goal of raising $15,000 for the Project HOPE mission. And for their part, the HOPE staff is behind them 100% with all of the tools and resources they need to successfully reach their fitness and fundraising goals.
On behalf of the Project HOPE family of staff, volunteers, donors and people we serve, thank you for your support of our lifesaving mission! We wish the entire iHOPE team the best of luck as they train for the event. One step at a time they are making HOPE happen for vulnerable girls and boys, men and women around the globe.
