The establishment of a "Nursing Simulation Lab and Research Center" has enabled a state-of-the-art active learning environment for students in the HOPE School of Nursing in Wuhan China.

Funded by an ASHA grant and supported by Wuhan University, 863 nursing students and 963 health professionals have benefited from the simulation lab and 15 HOPE School of Nursing faculty and 9 clinical preceptors have been trained in simulation activities at U.S. universities, for knowledge transfer and capacity building in China. A provincial research grant on simulation education has been awarded, and two papers have been published on international journals.
