Linda N. Heitzman joins Project HOPE as Executive Vice President leveraging her broad experience in the life sciences and health care industries, in which she successfully guided organizations through strategy, design and impressive growth for two decades.
Reporting to the President and CEO of Project HOPE, Ms. Heitzman will chart the strategic direction of Project HOPE’s Global Health and Business Development portfolios, operating plans, and program success while ensuring alignment with the overall mission and values of the organization.
Ms. Heitzman’s stellar performance in managing client relationships and delivering impactful strategy as former Director in Deloitte Consulting’s Life Sciences Strategy and Operations Practice will be invaluable to HOPE’s future growth. While holding senior positions at both Deloitte Consulting LLP and Ernst & Young Management Consulting over the course of 21 years, Ms. Heitzman led the development and deployment of a wide range of transformational programs including initiatives supporting a more efficient distribution of life-saving medicines and operational improvements in delivering humanitarian aid, disaster relief and public health programs.
“Linda’s skillful leadership as a business strategist will help strengthen HOPE’s senior management team to build HOPE’s five global health practice areas and excel in business operations as we enhance HOPE’s world-wide brand,” said John P. Howe III, M.D., President and Chief of Project HOPE.
Ms. Heitzman joined the leadership team at Project HOPE’s international headquarters in Millwood, Virginia on February 24 and resides in Middleburg, Virginia.

Linda is a graduate of DePauw University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Linda’s passion extends to travel as well, having visited 39 countries on six continents, including humanitarian projects in Senegal, Guatemala and Zimbabwe. Linda has also served as a volunteer for an adult literacy program which tutors inmates awaiting trial and sentencing.

Identifiable to many by the SS HOPE, the world’s first peacetime hospital ship, Project HOPE now provides medical training and health education, and conducts humanitarian assistance programs in more than 35 countries.
