The Project HOPE Swiss International Foundation is signed into existence

The global health NGO Project HOPE announced the launch of the Project HOPE Swiss International Foundation (PHSIF) today to support health education and humanitarian aid in developing countries and other regions of need. The Foundation will leverage Project HOPE’s corporate partners in Switzerland and the wider European region to strengthen efforts to combat infectious and noncommunicable diseases, provide humanitarian aid, strengthen health systems and expand global health expertise in underserved communities worldwide.

The fundraising activities of the PHSIF will be overseen by a distinguished Board of Directors who will bring their expertise in business, science, healthcare and politics to bear in guiding the focus of the Foundation’s work to fund programs aimed at improving the plight of communities struggling in areas of disaster and underdevelopment.

“The Project HOPE Swiss International Foundation will help expand our partnerships with European colleagues and organizations who share a common vision towards building healthier communities in the developing world,” said Tom Kenyon, M.D., M.P.H., President and CEO of Project HOPE.

The Geneva-based Foundation will be deeply invested in furthering HOPE’s mission and belief in the long term impact of medical diplomacy which has paved the way for nearly six decades of lifesaving humanitarian assistance and health education worldwide.

“We are delighted to support Project HOPE and deepen our joint efforts to alleviate suffering and establish sustainable long term health programs and infrastructure in developing nations,” said, Peter Wilden, Ph.D., Chairman of the Board, Project HOPE Swiss International Foundation.

“As a long time board member of Project HOPE, I am intimately familiar with the groundbreaking and humanitarian work and dedication that is the hallmark of HOPE’s programs and volunteers all over the world,” said Dr. Wilden.
