Haiti 2013
January 10, 2013
Immediately following the devastating January 12, 2010 earthquake in Haiti, Project HOPE sent more than 100 volunteer doctors, nurses and medical technicians and delivered more than $60 million of medicines and medical supplies to help. But our work did not stop there.
In October, the new program helped support the first Paralympics competition in the country which was a “major psychological booster” for amputees recovering from earthquake related injuries according to HOPE’s Program Director in Haiti, Dr. Lucien Armand.
