Resizing the text in Internet Explorer

Method 1 (Simple):

  1. Open the 'View' menu at the top of your screen (Shortcut: Alt+v keys).

  2. Mouse over or use the arrow keys to highlight 'Text Size'.

  3. Select the preferred size with your mouse or using the arrows and enter key.

Method 2 (Override):

  1. Open the 'Tools' menu at the top of your screen (Shortcut: Alt+t keys).

  2. Select the 'Internet Options' menu item with your mouse or using the arrow and enter key (Shortcut: O).

  3. Under the 'General' tab click on the 'Accessibility...' button at the bottom right (Shortcut: Alt+e).

  4. Place a check in the box 'Ignore font sizes specified on Web pages' (Shortcut: Alt+z)

  5. Press 'OK' or hit enter twice to return to your browser.

Resizing the text in Firefox

Method 1 (Simple):

  1. Open the 'View' menu at the top of your screen (Shortcut: Alt+v keys).

  2. Mouse over or use the arrow keys to highlight 'Text Size' (Shortcut: Alt+z keys).

  3. Select 'Increase', 'Decrease' or 'Normal' to change your font size. (Shortcut: Alt+I or Alt+D keys)

Method 2 (Even Simpler):

  1. Press and hold the 'Ctrl' key and tap the + or - sign to increase or decrease font respectively.

  2. Press and hold the 'Ctrl' key and tap the 0 key to return to normal.

Method 3 (Override):

  1. Open the 'Tools' menu at the top of your screen (Shortcut: Alt+t keys).

  2. Select the 'Options' menu item with your mouse or using the arrows and enter key (Shortcut: O).

  3. Under 'Content' look for the 'Fonts & Colors' section.

  4. Changing the 'Size' value will change the value for the 'Normal' font setting.

  5. Select the 'Advanced..." tab to give you more options (Shortcut: Alt+d keys).

  6. Select a 'Minimum font size' to prevent websites from using fonts smaller than this value. (Shortcut: Alt+o and arrow keys)

  7. Uncheck the 'Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of me selections above' (Shortcut: Alt+a and arrow keys) or check the 'Always use my:' 'Fonts' box depending on the version you have.

  8. Click OK or tab to the 'OK' button and press enter on each window.

Resizing the text in Netscape

Method 1 (Simple):

  1. Open the 'View' menu at the top of your screen (Shortcut: Alt+v keys).

  2. Mouse over or use the arrow keys to highlight 'Text Zoom' (Shortcut: Alt+z keys).

  3. Select the preferred size with your mouse or using the arrows and enter key.

Method 2 (Override):

  1. Open the 'Edit' menu at the top of your screen (Shortcut: Alt+e keys).

  2. Select the 'Preference' menu item with your mouse or using the arrow and enter key (Shortcut: E).

  3. Click the small triangle to the left of the 'Appearance' category or double click on the word Appearance to expand the choices.

  4. Select the 'Font' option to display the font options

  5. Select a 'Minimum font size' to prevent websites from using fonts smaller than this value. (Shortcut: Alt+z and arrow keys)

  6. Uncheck the 'Allow documents to use other fonts' if it is checked.

  7. Press 'OK' or hit enter to return to your browser.

Resizing the text in Opera

Method 1:

  1. Open the 'Tools' menu at the top of your screen and choose Preferences (Shortcut: Ctrl+F12 keys).

  2. Select the 'Web Pages' tab (Shortcut: Ctrl+Tab keys).

  3. Select the preferred page zoom size from the drop down list and press OK or hit Enter
