Project HOPE strives to make high quality health care available to people around the globe. Through training, technical assistance, and expert mentoring we build capacity and skills at all levels of the health care system from community-based volunteers, clinic health workers, and laboratory specialists to nurses, doctors, and administrators in tertiary hospitals. We work in close cooperation with local governments, health officials, and other public and private partners to identify needs and implement lasting solutions. Project HOPE uses a “train the trainer” model that trains health professionals how to teach others what they have learned; helps to renovate health facilities and provides donations of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment; and strengthens logistical support for the distribution of vaccines. Project HOPE also provides short-term assistance from its pool of professional health volunteers to supplement the human resources available in health facilities around the world.
