Volunteers again returned to Colombia, this year aboard the USNS Comfort hospital ship, as part of the U.S. Navy's Continuing Promise 2011. Along with their Navy counterparts, 10 HOPE medical volunteers cared for more than 2,400, performed 126 surgeries and participated in nealry 500 educational contacts while in Colombia. In addition, volunteers also provided care in Jamaica, Ecuador, Costa Rica,  El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Nicaragua and Peru. during the five-month mission.
