Volunteers aboard the USS Iwo Jima traveled to Panama as part of the U.S. Navy’s Continuing Promise 2010. Along with their Navy counterparts, nine HOPE medical volunteers cared for nearly 7,000, performed 139 surgeries and participated in more than 7,400 educational contacts while in Panama. Volunteers also provided care in Haiti, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Guyana, Nicaragua and Suriname.
