Project HOPE is working in Mozambique to strengthen the coping capabilities of households and communities stepping up to care for the rising numbers of children orphaned by the AIDS pandemic. Working with community volunteers, Project HOPE is implementing programs that help improve the health and economic status of orphans, eradicate hunger, and improve knowledge of prevention and treatment for HIV/AIDS. Inspired by the positive results of Project HOPE programs, the communities themselves are now seeking their own solutions to address the issues of orphaned children. The results have been inspiring.
