Three Years Later, Work in Indonesia Continues
Project HOPE responded to the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami by sending millions of dollars worth of humanitarian aid, and hundreds of medical volunteers to the devastated region. But the help did not end there. Mobile Clinic Treats Nearly 4,000 Earthquake Victims
The May 2006 earthquake in Indonesia, which left nearly 7,000 people dead and more than 58,700 people injured, also left 24 of the 26 community health centers in the district severely damaged or completely destroyed, causing the three major hospitals in the area to be overwhelmed with patients.
