Eight students participated in the Snapshot of HOPE program in the Dominican Republic to learn how to photograph and document HOPE’s lifesaving work. The class, conducted by international photojournalist and Project HOPE volunteer, Jon Brack, offered students the opportunity to learn how to use their personal mobile devices to take photos and tell the stories of HOPE through their own eyes. The participants included a doctor of the Order of Malta Clinic, Project HOPE staff in the Dominican Republic, beneficiaries of HOPE’s programs in the Dominican Republic and even local TV journalists. The result of their work is photo essays depicting the importance of mother-child health services in the Dominican Republic.
