Citi employees improved their own health while supporting better health for children, mothers and families around the globe with the annual Citi Fitness Challenge event.
Nearly 14,000 employees around the world participated in this year’s three-week Fitness Challenge which combines the promotion of physical activity among Citi employees with charitable activities. Employees agreed to increase their physical activity each day and selected one of three charities to be the beneficiary of their “active minutes.” Each charity then received donations based on the number of active minutes they received through the registered participants. Citi’s active employee’s raised and contributed $45,000 to HOPE as part of this year’s challenge.
“Citi has been long-standing supporter of Project HOPE and their work to promote progress in communities around the world,” said Susannah Sanders Internal Communications, Global Public Affairs for Citi.
This is the third year in a row Project HOPE has benefited from the generosity and physical fitness dedication of Citi employees. Thank you for your awesome support!
