Giving Tuesday 2021
Together, we can uplift health workers, mothers, children and families facing natural disasters, displacement, infectious diseases and other life-threatening emergencies.
This #GivingTuesday, it’s been
since the world Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic.
Though some aspects of everyday life are beginning to return to normal, it’s easy to lose sight of the reality that COVID-19 is not over — especially for health care workers. Infections continue to spike, new strains like the Delta variant continue to pose serious threats, and too many people are still dying from COVID-19 every day.
Health care workers continue to fight on the front lines of this deadly pandemic — one of the 10 deadliest the world has ever seen.
Health workers around the world are strained, overexerted, and at risk of breaking down. For many, there seems to be no end in sight, no light at the end of the tunnel. But there is no time to let up — other health care needs persist, too. Infectious diseases like HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis still pose a threat to millions of people around the world. Noncommunicable diseases remain the leading cause of death globally. And mothers and newborns continue to need prenatal and postnatal care to ensure a healthy start at life.
Our global health workforce is tired and frustrated.
Project HOPE has supported health care workers throughout the pandemic with the surge support, PPE, and training they need to keep themselves and their communities safe. Since the start of the pandemic, Project HOPE has delivered more than 17.5 million pieces of PPE, trained over 116,000 health workers and frontline personnel, and reached more than 150 countries worldwide, including the U.S.
And all the while, Project HOPE’s ongoing global health programming carries on, delivering the care and support that saves lives.
Everyone deserves HOPE and the health care they need to reach their full potential. You can provide both with your special Giving Tuesday gift today – when matching funds will multiply the lifesaving power of your generosity threefold.
