Meet our Staff: Vlatko Uzevski
Program Manager for HOPE's Strategic Medical Resupply Program, which helps several countries in Central/Eastern Europe and Africa with donated medicines and medical supplies.

Vlatko Uzevski joined Project HOPE in 2008 as Program Manager of our Strategic Medical Resupply Program, which helps several countries in Central and Eastern Europe and Africa with donated medicines and medical supplies. Vlatko is based in our Skopje, Macedonia office. He was also part of the initial disaster response team that Project HOPE deployed after the April 2015 earthquake in Nepal. In Nepal he helped with the initial assessment of the situation and the implementation of Project HOPE’s donations of medicines and medical supplies.
“During the seven years I have been working on the Strategic Medical Resupply Program, it has been easy for me to see the impact of the program in all the countries where the program is active,” says Vlatko. “At every single visit I make to a hospital or clinic that is receiving donations, there is a story of how the medicines and supplies have helped the institution or individuals. There are more than 1.5 million people that have benefited directly from the donations, and even more have benefited indirectly.”
Vlatko also sees a great potential for helping the people of Nepal following the recent earthquake. “In Nepal we have been able to help more than 60,000 patients just from the first six shipments of medicines and medical supplies that have been delivered.”
“Every visit I make to institutions, and every time I meet people that have received Project HOPE medical donations, it re-emphasizes the value and impact of our programs and brings new energy and enthusiasm to me and the whole team in our office,” says Vlatko. “There are stories of saved lives, shortened hospital stays, renovated facilities and a lot more that prove Project HOPE’s impact.”
