Chessa Latifi is Project HOPE’s Deputy Director of Emergency Preparedness and Response. As part of our Global Health team, she supports our disaster and health crises response operations, including managing our efforts from both headquarters and deployment to the field.
Chessa completed her graduate degree at George Mason’s School of Public Policy, and obtained her undergraduate degree in Social Justice at Virginia Commonwealth University. She has 13 years’ experience in the humanitarian field, including deployments in response to the conflict in Iraq, the 2010 Haiti earthquake, the Syrian refugee crisis, and domestic natural disasters. She has also supported numerous international emergency responses across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas.
