His Snapshot of HOPE photo essay, Welcome to the Order of Malta Clinic, captures the comfort and appreciation families feel when receiving health services at their community clinic.
The clinic is a lifeline to families in the community. Like this young mother and baby, I once came to the clinic as a beneficiary with my mother.
The Order of Malta Clinic has many merits of excellence. In this clinic, many children come with their mothers.
A mother with her baby leaves the Order of Malta Clinic after receiving health services.
Part of the mother baby care at the clinic includes outreach visits by clinic staff to check on mothers and their newborns. Outreach coordinators visit new moms in their homes, during the first 10 days after birth, to give reassurance and make sure all is well with mom and baby.
