WHO Acknowledges Project HOPE in Compendium of Best Practices for TB Treatment
Two activities being conducted by Project HOPE in Tajikistan were included within the compendium as best practices.

The World Health Organization’s (WHO) regional office in Europe recently published a compendium, Good Practices in Strengthening Health Systems for the Prevention and Care of Tuberculosis and Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis. Two activities being conducted by Project HOPE in Tajikistan were included within the compendium as best practices. This is the third time Project HOPE’s best practices have been acknowledged by WHO and included in an annual publication.
Project HOPE’s recognition appears in the following sections
- Tajikistan: A national multi-stakeholder coalition to fight TB more effectively, where stewardship and governance is discussed (page 19)
- Tajikistan: Improving detection of TB among women in community structures, where health service delivery is discussed (page 55)
