Ying Jun’s story is an inspiring one. When Ying was 14 years old, he was diagnosed with Leukemia. It was a long and trying road to recovery but the doctors and nurses at Shanghai Children’s Medical Center saved his life. Project HOPE helped establish the pediatric hospital in 1995 and still closely partners with the hospital to this day. Now, Ying returns to the hospital regularly to volunteer. He visits each young patient in the oncology department and shares his story to motivate them to keep their heads up and support them in their battle with cancer.
