Young Heart Patient from the Shanghai Children's Medical Center
November 17, 2011

On a recent visit to the Shanghai Children's Medical Center, we met with some young patients and families, including a 5-year-old girl awaiting heart surgery. As we said our goodbyes, the young girl treated us to a traditional Chinese children's song, complete with graceful hand motions and a bow to end the performance. Enjoy the video.

Macedonia Strategic Medical ReSupply Program
October 5, 2011

This humanitarian assistance program provides medicines, vaccines, and medical supplies in order to improve health services in Macedonia during its difficult transition of the health system to meet global health care standards. By providing medicine and medical supplies valued at $20 million, Project HOPE is helping the Ministry of Health and hospitals increase budget savings and improve the availability of appropriate medicines and medical supplies for Macedonians.


A Visit With Project HOPE in Peru

Project HOPE has improved the quality of life of 14,500 women and 10,500 children in Peru through a combined microcredit and health education program known as a Village Health Bank, providing over $5,000,000 in loans.

Pasquale Iannino, video journalist and founder of Rockit Projects Inc., traveled with Project HOPE volunteers to Guyana and Suriname in October of 2010 as part of Continuing Promise 2010. He created this video for Project HOPE which won a 2011 Telly Award.

Project HOPE sent volunteers aboard the USS Cleveland as part of the second rotation of the Pacific Partnership 2011. This is Project HOPE's 22nd mission in the past six years in partnership with the U.S Navy and Department of Defense. The second rotation of volunteers provided care, health education and humanitarian assistance in Papua New Guinea. Video by volunteer Kris Radder.
