Director of Internal Audit
Dereje Asmare joined Project HOPE in 2021 and now leads the department as its Director of Internal Audit. With extensive experience in international employment, Asmare has in-depth knowledge of internal auditing, including management of all internal audit functions, analysis of accounting information and business processes to ensure accountability, improvement of business procedures, development of tools and techniques to strengthen risk management and internal controls, evaluation of risk management, and enhancement of financial and operational controls. He has several years of experience providing added value by identifying opportunities to improve and drive positive change in governance, risk management, and internal control.
