Latin America & Caribbean
Supporting health systems and addressing disasters and conflict
The Context
Project HOPE has worked in communities throughout Latin America and the Carribean since 1962, when the SS HOPE first docked in Peru. Over the years, our reach in the region has expanded to include several successful long-term programs such as a maternal and child health clinic network in the Dominican Republic and Colombia, diabetes programming in Mexico, and responding to the humanitarian crisis in Haiti.
Hurricane Melissa: How to Help
Project HOPE is on the ground with an emergency response team in Jamaica, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic in the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Melissa. Learn more about our response and how you can help.
