Project HOPE Announces Leadership Transition in Development & Communications
Washington, D.C. (November 26, 2024) — Project HOPE announced today that Cinira Baldi will be stepping down from her role as Chief Development and Communications Officer. Tricia Hart, an accomplished nonprofit leader with 25 years of experience in fundraising and communications, will serve as Interim Chief Development and Communications Officer effective December 12, 2024.
During her tenure at Project HOPE, Baldi made significant contributions to the organization’s growth and impact including securing investment to build fundraising capacity that helped expand Project HOPE’s relief and development programs. Her leadership has strengthened the organization’s strategic partnerships and enhanced its global reach across programs in the Dominican Republic, China, Indonesia and more.
“Over the past six-plus years, Cinira has had an extraordinary impact on Project HOPE,” said Rabih Torbay, President and CEO of Project HOPE. “Her vision, dedication, and leadership have significantly strengthened our mission, inspired our team, and created a lasting legacy that will continue to benefit those we serve.”
Tricia Hart brings extensive experience in nonprofit fundraising and communications to the role. Most recently, serving as Chief Development Officer at Greenpeace USA, Hart led a team to achieve record-breaking revenue growth. Her previous experience includes leadership positions at Amnesty International USA and Orbis International, where she demonstrated expertise in advocacy, marketing, and multi-channel fundraising strategies.
“We are fortunate to have someone of Tricia’s caliber step into this interim role,” added Torbay. “Her proven track record of scaling nonprofit fundraising programs and deep understanding of global humanitarian work makes her an excellent choice to lead our development and communications efforts during this transition.”
