Project HOPE is Monitoring Hurricane Isaias
Project HOPE is closely monitoring Hurricane Isaias as it approaches the northern Gulf Coast as a major Category 3 hurricane. The storm, which marks the first Atlantic hurricane of the season, has sustained winds of 120 mph and is centered approximately 145 miles south of the Mississippi River.
The storm poses significant immediate risks of severe inland flooding, structural damage, power outages, and disruption to local health infrastructure.
