Project HOPE Raises $700K at Charity Golf Tournament
On June 8, Project HOPE hosted its second annual Drivers of HOPE charity golf tournament in the greater DC area, bringing together supporters and partners to raise funds to support the organization’s health and humanitarian programs across the globe.
“Drivers of HOPE is a wonderful moment to gather community and recognize the people and partners who make our critical work possible,” said Rabih Torbay, Project HOPE’s CEO. “Whether it’s running health clinics in Gaza and Lebanon, training midwives in Indonesia, supporting health workers on the frontlines of Ebola, or providing care to families in Ukraine, our supporters are the driving force behind every life changed.”
The tournament featured 18 teams of golfers – made up of board members and supporters – and was generously sponsored by partners including Goldman Sachs and Merck. Project HOPE raised $700,000 in donations to support programs that deliver essential health services and build resilient health systems around the world.
